New Body Backfire

I kept the earth-

torn pebble; my anatomy,

kindling: coke bark

gorging true trembling

flames. Forests of reactions

in heavy rusted sockets,

growing heavier

sweating pleas. Something

that snores underwater,

but I

could not hold. I

so easily split by

an atom in me.
