Fragments

With you
are Fragments of golden sunsets
And moonlit stones
Stormy nights And fading whispers

I buried these inside you
Because inside me couldn't house them and
Every time I'm running home
It's your body I find myself in

now you find yourself embracing spirits

I'm scratching through earth
And running through dust
looking for the fragments
I buried

Zami Yuba writes the words as they come to her. When she is not eating or taking nude selfies, she lives in Enugu.
